About this tour
The area around Nice has attracted not only those seeking rest, but also artists in search of inspiration. This private art tour introduces you to some of the finest cultural sites on the Riviera.
First stop: the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild, a pink palace built between 1905 and 1912 on the isthmus of Cap-Ferrat, with sea views on both sides. Its rooms house antique furniture, Old Master paintings, sculptures and a large collection of rare porcelain; its nine themed gardens, including the French garden with its musical fountains, are among the most beautiful on the French Riviera.
The tour continues up Cimiez Hill, through Queen Victoria’s residential quarter, to the Matisse Museum, close to the Franciscan monastery and its gardens and to the former Hôtel Régina where the painter lived. Finally, discover the Marc Chagall National Museum and its Biblical Message.
