About this tour
Between Nice and Monaco, the medieval village of Eze, 429 metres above sea level, is a true eagle’s nest perched on a rocky peak. Steeped in myths and legends and linked to the sea by the Nietzsche Path, it has been occupied over the centuries by the Phoenicians, Romans, Moors, Italians and Monegasques. It is loved for its spectacular setting, exotic garden, history, artists, restaurants and Fragonard perfumery.
The tour continues to Monaco-Ville, “the Rock”, a rocky promontory jutting into the Mediterranean. Here you will discover the Prince’s Palace and the changing of the guard, the Oceanographic Museum and its collections devoted to the sea, and the Romanesque Revival cathedral built of white stone from La Turbie, consecrated in 1911, where Princess Grace and Prince Rainier were married and are laid to rest.
The route then follows the Formula 1 Grand Prix circuit to the famous Casino Square in Monte-Carlo, with its luxury boutiques and legendary establishments.
